General Guidelines for MOOS Files
All MOOS files must be uploaded with the same column headers as shown in the original template, as our system reads data based on these headers. The file must always be saved and uploaded in CSV format using a semicolon ( ; ) as the separator.
To make smaller updates easier, we have created a helper template where you can select the fields you wish to create or update – including descriptions of each. You’ll find the file "MOOS file" attached below. It is important that this file is submitted to us, as it can only be uploaded internally by our team. Please submit it here: Submit a request – Magasin Du Nord
We have also described all columns in detail below.
Column Descriptions
Hierarchy
Specify the online hierarchy under which the product should be placed. See available options in the tabs included in the MOOS file template.Product Name
Enter the product name here. If the item is to be sold online, this name will be displayed on the website. Do not include the brand name – it is automatically added by Magasin.Barcode / EAN
Provide the barcode for the individual item.WSSize
Enter the size – e.g., "XL". For footwear, always use EU sizing, such as "39".WSColor
Specify the color as text, e.g., "Black" or "Navy". It is important not to use numbers. The color name will appear on the site.Long Description (Danish)
Provide a comprehensive description of the product for our online site. The better the text, the higher the chance of a sale. The description must be in Danish. If this is not possible, we recommend a translation – otherwise, the English text can be used in the English field.Long Description (Swedish / Norwegian / English)
Enter the long description in the relevant languages. These fields may be left empty if translations are not available. If only one version is provided, the site will automatically use the English version.Image Reference / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7
Enter the file name of the images you are submitting. If the image is named for example 1234567.jpg, you should enter only 1234567 in the field.Image Reference is the main image displayed online.
2/3/4/5/6/7 are supplementary images in numerical order.
We recommend naming images based on the product's barcode. For clothing, you only need to use one size for images. If you are using image URLs instead, the column header must be changed from Image Reference to ImageURL, and the direct link should be placed in the field.
Online Date
Enter a date if the product should only go live online starting from a specific day. Format: DD-MM-YYYY (e.g., 01-01-2023). Only used for embargoed items
