HOW TO SEND IMAGES OF YOUR PRODUCTS

Below we review how to send images to Magasin for use on our online site. 

All images must be sent in .jpg format. 

A good advice 

We recommend that you use a minimum of 2 images per product. Shows the product from different angles. We would like you to send us both Packshots, product images, environmental images and model images. All depending on the product category. Experience tells us that products that use both Packshoots and environmental/model images perform much better on our online site. 

How to submit photos to Magasin: 

There are three different ways to submit images for items sent to Magasin. 

1. URL-links 

• This works via a public link to a site where the image is located. It is important that the link can be accessed from all computers. It should not be a dropbox-link or a link that require a password. 

• You insert the URL link in your pricat you normally send to Magasin. 
• See example below for URL-links in a file 

2. Name your images by barcode

If it's clothing, you just have to name the image for a barcode on one of the sizes.

• Do you have more than 1 picture per product. Then you have to name the next pictures in the row. Barcode-1/-2/-3/-4/-5/-6/-7/-8
• You can have up to 8 images per product. The images are in the order Barcode/-1/-2/-3 etc. online. See example below.
• The pictures must be sent in one folder via Wetransfer in a Zip folder so that it is easy for us to copy this over to our system. The Wetransfer folder should be sent to: [e-mail]

 

3. Insert image name in your pricat or online data file

• Insert the name of the image in the ‘Image reference’ column, additional images are in the next columns. Up to 8 images in total.
• It is important that the name you have on the picture is exactly what you put in the file.
• The file must contain the barcode you want the image to be linked to.
• If it's clothing, you just have to enter the same image name on all the sizes for the same style.
• The photos themselves must be sent via Wetransfer in a Zip folder so that it is easy for us to copy this over to our system. The Wetransfer folder is sent to: [e-mail]
• Fields that do not need to be filled in must simply be left blank with headings.
• The file must be saved and uploaded in CSV Semicolon format, sent where you normally create items.
